Welcome all, my name is Jessica. I am a loving wife and mother of three young children. I am a Lecturer in the Public Health Program at Coastal Carolina University. I absolutely love teaching Personal & Community Health. I am most passionate about Complementary and Alternative Medicine. This drive stemmed from my time earning a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Health Education from the University of South Carolina.
One day while pregnant with my first son, Beckham, I found myself with flu symptoms. Curled up in a ball in the waiting room, at the doctor’s office, I frantically searched the internet for alternatives to the antiviral drugs that were sure to be recommended for my symptoms. Through searching the internet, I was introduced to elderberry syrup. After locating some, I started taking the suggested use and started feeling a relief of symptoms very quickly!
Finding a natural remedy to give to my kids; something they would willingly take when they were symptomatic, was always a challenge. Thus, I started making my own elderberry syrup to have control over both the taste and the quality of ingredients.
Because of my passion and belief in alternative medicine, I decided to share a picture of a batch that I was making, along with the many health benefits of elderberry syrup, with my family and friends on Facebook. To my surprise a couple friends asked if I had any extra that I’d be willing to sell. From there God has guided this business every step of the way. More than anything I am grateful for my husband’s support with this business and to be utilizing nature, to be a blessing to other people on their journey to better health. Hearing customer testimonials, keeps me pushing forward. I’m overjoyed to bring a natural remedy to the market, filled with a host of benefits that you can feel good about giving to your children.
