Our Story in 90 Seconds

The Girl Who Hated Medicine
Growing up, I hated medicine.
I couldn't swallow pills, so my mom would open capsules and mix the powder into a spoonful of grape Kool-Aid just to get me to take it.
I remember the tears.
The arguments.
The nights we sat at the kitchen table trying to get one more dose down.
Sometimes I would eventually take it.
Sometimes neither of us had the energy left to fight.
By the time I felt better, we were both so exhausted from the battle that we often didn't even finish the full course.
At the time, it was simply part of growing up.

One Conversation Changed Everything
Years later, a conversation with a chiropractor named Dr. Findley introduced to a different way of thinking about health.
For the first time, I realized there were ways to support our bodies that focused on nourishment, daily habits, and proactive wellness.
That conversation planted a seed that would eventually shape how Jake and I raised our family and how we approached health in our home.

A Different Future For My Family
While pregnant with our son Beckham, I began searching for natural ways to support my health.
That's when I discovered elderberries.
I wasn't looking for a business.
I was simply looking for something I felt good about bringing into our home.
What started as curiosity quickly became part of our family's wellness routine and eventually changed the direction of our lives.

When History Repeated Itself
When our daughter was around the age of two, I began bringing home different elderberry products.
There was just one problem.
She wouldn't take any of them.
The taste.
The texture.
The resistance.
It immediately took me back to my own childhood.
The tears.
The arguments.
The spoonfuls of medicine I never wanted.
Eventually, I stopped trying.
Life moved on.
And elderberry became little more than a memory.

A Flu Epidemic Brought Me Back
Years later, during a difficult flu season, I remembered my own experience with elderberry syrup while pregnant with my first son, Beckham.
I began searching again.
Not for a business.
Not for a company.
Simply for something I felt good about giving my family.
But once again, I ran into the same problem.
Taste.
If my daughter wouldn't take it, it didn't matter how good it was for our health.
So I decided to make my own.

The Prayer
A few years later, our family was walking through a difficult season.
Health challenges.
Financial uncertainty.
Questions about what came next.
I prayed for direction.
And God answered that prayer in the most unexpected way.

The Answer Didn't Look Like An Answer
I shared a post on social media about making a batch in my kitchen.
I told people about my own experience.
I encouraged them to find some for their families.
Then something unexpected happened.
Friends began asking if I had extra.
Would I sell them a bottle?
A second friend asked.
Then another.
And in that moment, I realized what I was holding wasn't just elderberry syrup.
It was the answer to the prayer I had been praying.

The Kitchen Table Years
The first batches were made in our kitchen.
The kids were little.
Orders were packed around family life.
We listened to Billy Graham sermons while labeling bottles at the kitchen table.
What began as something made for our family quickly spread through word of mouth as friends and neighbors began asking for bottles of their own.

What Started As Obedience Became A Calling
We never set out to build a national brand.
We simply kept saying yes to the next opportunity in front of us.
One customer became ten.
Ten became hundreds.
Hundreds became thousands.
Looking back, what felt like small acts of obedience eventually became something far bigger than we ever imagined.

The Classroom Got Bigger
For years, I taught Personal & Community Health courses at Coastal Carolina University.
I loved the classroom.
I loved my students.
I loved helping people understand the connection between daily choices and long-term wellness.
When I left, I struggled.
Not for weeks.
For years.
I wrestled with questions I couldn't answer.
Why would God pull me away from something I loved so much?
There were seasons of grief.
Seasons of resentment.
Even moments of anger.
I didn't want to leave the classroom.
I loved it.
One day, in the middle of all those questions, I felt God speak to my heart:
"Darlin', I didn't pull you out of the classroom. I just wanted to make your classroom bigger."
Looking back now, I understand.
What once reached a room full of students now reaches families across the country.
The mission never changed.
Helping people make informed decisions about their health.
The classroom just simply got bigger.

Where It Started

Where We Are Today
A Note From Jessica
If you've made it this far, thank you.
Truly.
This story is about far more than elderberry syrup.
Because taking the time to learn our story means more than you probably realize.
When I made my first batch of elderberry syrup in my kitchen, I never imagined it would grow into what it is today. I wasn't trying to build a business. I was simply trying to support my family and create something I felt good about bringing into our home.
What happened next was never part of my plan.
But looking back, I can see God's hand in every step of the journey.
The late nights.
The hard seasons.
The answered prayers.
The people who believed in us before we fully believed in ourselves.
Every bottle we make is a reminder of where we started and why we continue.
Not because we're trying to be the biggest.
Not because we're chasing the next milestone.
But because we genuinely believe families deserve products made with integrity, ingredients they recognize, and a company they can trust.
At the end of the day, we're still the same family that started this journey around our kitchen table.
We're still guided by faith.
We're still committed to quality.
And we're still asking ourselves the same question before every decision we make:
"Would we give this to our own family?"
If the answer isn't yes, we don't do it.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here.
Thank you for supporting our family, our mission, and the work we feel called to do.
It's an honor to be a small part of your wellness journey.
With faith and gratitude,
Jessica Lowery
