"Research shows that hungry children have poorer mental and overall health, miss more days of school, suffer greater rates of behavioral disorders and are less prepared to learn when they are in school.
During the 2004 school year, Backpack Buddies was piloted and distributed food to approximately 300 children every Friday. After a successful first year, Backpack Buddies is now well into its twelfth year and has expanded the program from three to 29 schools!
We are now making and delivering almost 3,000 food packs per week!"

The Health & Happiness Tote
It's the gift that keeps on giving! We are giving the gift of The Health & Happiness tote with each bundle order from The Health & Happiness collection through July 31st. We encourage our local customers to fill their personal Health & Happiness Tote with canned foods and nonperishables to deliver to Help4Kids. If you are not local to Myrtle Beach, you can choose a donation near you. We also encourage our customers to fill it with anything that brings Health & Happiness! Fill it with fresh farmers market vegetables, use it as a carry-all for books, or gifts to distribute to your family. The Health & Happiness Tote encourages us to Stay Healthy, Stay Active and Stay Connected.
